Animal assisted rehabilitation uses the unique relationship that can be created between animal and human to help the children learn to trust, love, and respond in a healthy way to another living creature.
The program will match the children with horses who have been rescued from abuse, neglect and abandonment.
Through the relationship, the children will learn about respect, boundaries, mutual support, affection and play. Caring for, and possibly riding, the horses will provide opportunities for each to work through their emotional, social, psychological and spiritual damage.
